Rossilynne Skena Culgan is a proud New York City transplant who’s finally fulfilling her goal of living in the best city in the world.

To research “Secret New York City: A Guide to the Weird, Wonderful, and Obscure,” she walked hundreds of miles across the five boroughs, spent hours on subway trains, talked to lots of locals, scoured old newspapers, and read to the end of the internet. She discovered that there are secrets in every corner of this busy city—and she’s here to help you find them. 

In addition to writing books, she works as Things to Do Editor at Time Out New York. Her first book, “100 Things to Do in Pittsburgh Before You Die,” was an ode to her hometown.

Rossilynne now lives in Manhattan with her husband, Shane, and their cat, Cleocatra.
